ADSA Board 2011-2012: Call for Nominations

Greetings from the ADSA Board! ADSA serves as the forum for student concerns, and throughout the years, we have served our Advanced Degree community through Professional Development Seminars, Works and Wine, the distribution of Conference Travel Bursaries and other activities.

The term of our current board is coming to an end. In light of this, we are requesting that you get involved in ADSA by serving in an official capacity.

The following ADSA Board Positions will be vacant for the 2011-2012 Academic Year:

A description of each position and Information on the nature of its responsibilities is available on the ADSA Constitution and Policies and Procedures Document.

If you choose to volunteer in any of these capacities, please note the following:

§   Any advanced degree student interested in running for a position must nominate him/herself for the position as outlined in the constitution.

§   All nominations must be accompanied by the endorsement of two other advanced degree students.

§   Nominations must be submitted by Friday March 25, 2011 to the Chief Returning Officer (CRO) at bibo.dawood@utoronto.ca

§   Any student nominated to a departmental or D.Min. committee must be a student of the respective department.

§   Any student nominated as college representative must be a student of the respective college.

§   If there is one nomination in any given position, that person will be acclaimed the winner at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which is on Wednesday April 13, 2011. 

§   In the event that more than one student is nominated for a single position, we will conduct the elections in accordance with the ADSA Constitution from March 28, 2011 - April 4, 2011.
